none, focus on tax. As long as you have a decent grasp of the basic bus law rules, you should be fine.

    BEC- 80
    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84

If you know the material in the ninja REG guide, you should be good to go.

Not sure why people keep saying Business Law is not that important. You will be surprised at how many surprises you'll get on this exam. Know as much as you possibly can, both tax and business law.

Agreed…it's very important…be at least generally proficient in all of the BLaw topics.

I don't think b-law is as heavily tested as tax, BUT it makes a huge differences when your scores are broad-line.

Def. something that should be reviewed and understood!

    BEC - 84 (lost credit), 80

Is Property and Insurance still tested? Wiley has Modules for both of those. Yaeger, at first, said they won't be tested. Then later on, they posted an update saying that Property was going to be tested. But if you look at the Content Specification, these two topics aren't listed there. And Gleim doesn't even have anything on those topics either nor do they have any questions on them on their test bank.

Definitely read over Business Law…I tested Strong on that just because how many people told me I should really read it over a couple of times…dont breeze over it because that could definitely score you some points!!

REG 10/01/2011- failed retake hopefully May 2012
    AUD 11/30/2011- failed retake 1/9/2012
    BEC 2/25/2012 -
    FAR-TBD

if you have a tax background, that part should be easy. focus on the the BLAW as it's warped logic might be difficult to learn.

    Aud 7/11/11 75
    Reg 8/31/11 80
    Far 5/24/11 86

The commercial paper section is ridiculous! That seems to be the only section out of all of business law that gives me headaches. I hope I don't get too many of those on the exam.

I just took REG and Business Law was heavily tested. There seemed to be at least if not more Business Law MCQ as tax. Sucks because I focused on tax. Don't think I passed. It was tough.

    AUD 89
    REG 81
    BEC 83
    FAR 86

    @swgordon

The CSO mentions the weightage of law as 17-21%. I think that comes to max 14-15 MCQs and that would be even less if there is any TBS from law…how was your experience. ?

Know the basics backwards and forwards. Elements of a contract, consideration, acceptance, mailbox rule, agency law, UCC, common law, etc. It seems like a lot, but read through the main points several times and you'll be surprised by how much more sense it makes (or at least how much more you recall each time).

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)
