OK I am studying and practicing regulation simulations and I received a question on AMT for Individuals. It provided a bunch of deductions for the tax payer and their AGI and ask me to type in the adjustments needed for AMT. It provided a spot for description and a spot for the amount. I put them down and then I only received a low % right. When I checked on the solution it showed pretty much the same thing I had put down. However, some of the descriptions were a little different but had similar wording and then some of the adjustments werer in a different order. I got the ones with a little bit different description and the ones in a different order wrong. I got the answer right with the answers I provided but it said I was wrong bc it didn’t match their wording and order. Is this really how it works on the exam, if I get a question like that or is it a limitation of the CPA excel software? Thanks.
