When you studied for the exam using Yaeger CPA Review, did you guys just study the portions that the instructors in the videos only covered?

I am currently studying for REG and the instructor in the video goes over the Wiley book and skips a bunch of things, but he says that whatever he doesn’t cover he said not to worry. Has anyone found this to be true? Or are you guys studying everything covered in the Wiley book?

I only study the portions they instruct on. However, I hit MCQs very hard, so I pick up a lot of the extra stuff through the Wiley explanations.

I only studied what the instructors said to and just did the assigned MCQ's in the book. However, I did do almost all of the questions in the Wiley test bank.

I also just listen to the lecture and take notes and do not go back and read the sections they skip, unless they say read this section on your own. But I think it depends on your learning style. I don't seem to retain much just by reading and need examples. I work only the assigned homework questions. I also make flashcards and retype all my notes and the NINJA notes (2 weeks out from the exam). And I work all of the Wiley test bank questions (final 2 weeks of studying) so I end up covering the sections they skip. Maybe it is overkill but this method is the way I finally passed reg and bec so I am sticking with it for far as well. 🙂

I skipped the videos entirely.Somehow they made me doze off literally.I am better off with the audio and the books.
