Focus on notes or MCQ's?

I’m sure this was probably answered many times, but should I focus more heavily on the specifics of the notes or should I just briefly review that and spend most of my time on the multiple choice questions? I noticed that I tend to drift when reviewing the material because there’s just too much to remember at once as a lot of it is homogeneous.

Also, how specific is the material for REG? Do we really need to memorize all the charts that are in the notes? Are there any things I should just ignore because they’re too specific and won’t be on the exam?

    Thanks in advance

I used Becker and spent about equal time in the book and working MCQ's. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to memorize phase outs. Those can get overwhelming in the Becker book but I don't think it's possible to remember them all and it takes away from more important information.
