Hi all, I take REG on 11/27. Am seeking input on time management for the exam. Time management was no problem for me on BEC or AUD. FAR was another story as I had to hurry through the sims, and didn’t complete the 2nd one. Don’t want that to happen again. Am seeking suggestions on time allocations to the REG MCQ testlets and simulations. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks,

    AUD - 7/31 - 83
    FAR - 8/27 - 91
    BEC - 10/30 - 90
    REG - 11/27 - 95

REG was the only one where I finished with 20 seconds left.

And I was done with the MCQs in a little over a hour.

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95

I always like having a lot of time on simulations. MC I put what I know or think. I might go check the problem again but I am not going to waste time trying to second guess myself.

So my strategy would be to have a set amount of time for each MC max, but don't use it if you don't need it. If it takes you 5s to answer a question and you KNOW it, then move on.

    FAR 92 - AUD 91 - REG 94 - BEC 86

LADavid REG was the hardest for me (BEC being the easiest). Funny how scores work. Anyways REG IMO needs to be 3.5 hours. Lately I have noticed that many people, who have passed, come out of the exam feeling horrible, it seems there are so many random Qs…..REG was the only exam in which I didn't have at least 15 mins left (and I didn't rush on any other exam). As said above on this exam if you don't know it you must decide to go with your gut. This exam is weird as it has the highest pass rates in Q1 & Q2 2010.

I answered my last simulation Q as time expired. I decided to leave myself 1.5 hours to finish the two subs, which I pretty much did. However the first simulation took me an hour and I had to rush through the second one. Of course try to work on the WC first if short on time on REG. From high level people it has been said that one WC counts and the other doesn't but it is not always the first one.

    8/20 AUD: 90
    8/31 BEC: 82
    10/6 REG: 83
    10/25 FAR: 93

Try to pick up time on the first testlet. It should be the easiest one. I completed my first one in 15 minutes.

I went in with this strategy

    30 min each MCQ testlet

    45 min each Sim

Adjust accordingly if you need a break! Just dont spend too much time if you dont know it just guess! If finished with 8 minutes left feeling like I didn't ace it or bomb it and worried about getting a 70-74.

    NEW YORK- DONE
