Final Push – Business Law

I’m retaking REG on 8/28. First attempt I got a 70. I was weaker in BLaw and Sims and either stronger or comparable in everything else. I’ve been hitting my studying really hard. And, am comfortable with the tax portion of the exam.

With three weeks left, what is my best strategy for nailing the business law section. Admittedly, my first time around I completely skipped R7 and R8 (becker). I tried, but the terminology is completely foreign and boring to me.

The good news is, I’ll be in between jobs after this Friday and will have 2 weeks of full-time studying. Any suggestions or things you’ve done to nail down the business law material? Thanks!

    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
    REG - 70, 78

    Licensed in Ohio.

Now what the hell do I do?

I'm sure this goes without saying, but you kinda can't just skip 2 out of the 8 chapters. Watch the R7 and R8 Becker lectures and keep in mind that you need to pick up on key points and not necessarily remember EVERYTHING. I thought secured transactions and commercial paper were the worst, Roger CPA review has a really great series of videos on youtube about the secured transactions. The R8 random stuff is really just “catch what you can” in terms of knowledge. Do the MCQ and they will let you know what the AICPA thinks is most prudent, since they release a lot of the test bank questions.
