Just reaching out asking for support. I am going to take REG again on April1st. I plan on devoted 20+ hours a week between now and then to reading the NINJA notes, wiley test bank and possibly audio. I have previously gone through the Yaeger home study once and cram twice so I don’t think I need to watch any more videos. I think I just need to practice MC and Sims continuously and rewrite my notes. I have to take this ASAP because I need 2 months to study for BEC which I have to pass on the first try or else lose my FAR credit. Any suggestions are welcome. I work full time, have a 7 year old and am married. I am going to see if I can get my work load reduced to 32 hours a week but I don’t know if that will happen.

    FAR 61 78*

    REG 64 68 75
    BEC 60

If you can get your workload reduced that would be ideal but rest assured its possible even if you're not able to. Did you rewrite your notes for your 2nd attempt? I swear that rewriting notes was what put me over the top for my 3rd attempt at aud. Hang in there, you've already passed 2 so you KNOW you can do this!

I can feel your pain, my last 2 scores on REG have been 71 and 73. Since the info is still fresh in my head my plan is to wait until about 10 days before the exam and just do a cram using my past notes and MCQ's from Wiley Test Bank. I would recommend not practicing any SIMS for your situation and the time crunch, they don't really add any value, any info you would see in the SIMS you can learn through MCQ's, just my opinion. You are close so you will get it done eventually, good luck to you.

I have to disagree with jsblamer; I was stronger/comparable in all my context areas and stronger in multiple choice/weaker in SIMS in my overall performance, so this tells me that SIMS are very important and you shouldn't skip them. I know the book just not the application b/c of my lack of experience. I plan to study SIMS like crazy till my test. To each his/her own though; study how you learn best.

    I went from 74 to 81.

I'd recommend doing lots of MQ's with wiley test bank, write the ninja notes once, do the ninja flash cards, read through the becker final review notes and ninja notes. i work full time, and i was able to manage 2.5 – 3 hours of studying on weekdays and 4-6 hours on the weekends. I did it over a 2 month period. I was able to get through all the sections and have one week to do a final review before the exam. During the Final Review, i focused more on Individual and Corporate Tax, since those sections are more heavily tested.

I had a strong performance on MQ's and a comparable score on my Sims.

Save 1.5 hours for the Sims on the exams.

    AUD - 86
    REG - 74, Feb/2013
    BEC - 79

How about those signatures that include 7 attempts before a pass? You are only at two….
