I just checked my REG score and got a 70.. 2 points higher than when I took it last time. I thought I did pretty well this time around but I guess it’s not enough. I scored comparable in 3 sections and stronger in 3 sections for the MC and stronger overall for MC. But weaker for simulations. I’m not sure if I have the motivation to take it again.

@bchan224 – You are headed in the right direction with your scores! Study for it like you've never taken it before and don't aim for a 75. Aim for a 99! On the 3rd attempt, you should be getting pretty ticked off. So don't go after this test like a spring rain in May. No. You hit it with the force of a Category 5 hurricane in September! Kill it!!

I liked the Ninja audio because there are a couple of BLaw memory tricks that literally, saved my bacon on exam day. I was about to click the wrong answer and I could hear Jeff's voice in my head with one of his examples. I'm in Louisiana, so ya know, we gotta be special when it comes to the whole business law thing. Search UCC on wikipedia and you will see that we are the ONLY state in the union that hasn't adopted it completely. Consequently, I didn't learn it in college. I thought UCC was a school in California! LOL I would get myself so confused between UCC and LA RS that I didn't know which end was up. I went from a low 61 to an 84 after I added the Ninja audio! But that was how I had to learn it. It may be completely different for you.

It's all good Topsya! Baxter and I both have a lot of exams behind us and we understand the hurt of being told you didn't work hard enough or you just weren't good enough. I don't think that's what you meant by your comment, but some scars run pretty deep. Baxter's scar actually runs across her chest (lung surgery during testing) and mine looks like I tried to slit my own throat with a steak knife (thyroid cancer).

And we are all moving on…

Don't get motivated! GET MAD!!! Anger is a wonderful tool in your CPA exam arsenal. It helps you focus and it makes you nicer to the ones you love, because you take your aggression out on MCQ's. And a lot of rap music! Rap really helps. There are studies that show that rap does help you retain information because of the repetitive beat. Good Luck!
