I just received my score report and I’m really pissed and have to once again question the criteria AICPA is using to grade our exams. Couple of months ago, I failed BEC with 70 and my score report showed that I was weaker in 3 areas, Comparable in 2 areas and stronger in 1 area. I don’t even factor in written communication cos I know I suck at it since English is my second language.

The current report I just received is showing different report compared to the one I got last year.

I got 71 this time around and it shows major improvement in the areas I was found weaker the last time.

My score report for this months release indicate that I was comparable in 4 areas and stronger in 2 areas and I still couldn’t get a 75 ?..

I improved from from 2 weaker areas to 2 comparable areas and all the AICPA did is to increase my score by 1.

Is this some kind of a ponzy scheme or just the fun of seeing us fail for no unjustifiable reason.

Sorry for the rant and thanks for reading. I will also like to know if anyone is in similar situation.

Youre right, I think my weakest area is the written communication and some of the conceptual stuff that comes from nowhere. I need to work more on these areas. I see u got 74x, that must be very painful, I can tell.

Very painful, and I was burned out after AUD. I ended up only studying my weak areas, and did not go through all the material for my last exam. I was extremely grateful for the 76. I hate BEC with a passion!

I feel you. It's super frustrating. I'm adding the NINJA flashcards this time around and I think,for me, its doing a better job with the core concepts than my Becker instructor did.

I feel you. It's super frustrating. I'm adding the NINJA flashcards this time around and I think,for me, its doing a better job with the core concepts than my Becker instructor did.

My first exam I took was FAR and passed, I've taken Audit (twice), REG and now BEC. I figured it would be a confidence boost but failed. I am so defeated right now :/ Not sure what else I can do. Not sure if I should really take my time and go through each exam again but it literally makes me sick to my stomach all the time that I still have ahead of me to study for these exams. I am almost tempted to just cram for the next 4 months and get these 3 done.

Any tips on re studying ? Clearly I am not studying correctly.

Do a comprehensive final review. I swear by it. I had a ton of trouble with reg. Got a 67 then a 69. Before my 3rd try, I took 3 days and did becker's final review. It took 3 days because I went more in depth for every area that I wasn't confident in. 3rd try I got an 87. There are so many questions on the test that are gimmies. You just have to have seen them recently. You can't spend the week before the exam beating your head against the wall trying to pick up the tough points. You have to make time to pick up the easy ones.
