Sitting For REG 7/8 and I have a tax background (2 years in individual & Small business), I am using ROGER lectures and text (and NINJA Notes) to get through the content and then I will hit NINJA MCQs the last 3 weeks. I’ve already finished the Tax sections and I am just left with Business Law to go through. I can’t imagine BL being worse than Tax in terms of being able to plow through the material without too many hiccups.

What have you done to slow your studying down to be more in line with your original study schedule? I find myself getting way ahead of where I should be at by about a week or so. I would move my exam up but there are no availabilities for my testing center and I don’t want to start hitting lots of MCQs until mid-June. I didn’t have this issue before with FAR when I passed.

    Thanks!

if one doesn't have a job…yes I can see someone getting ahead of schedule. Most of us have to work and squeeze in the study time. I saw a posting on this very website some candidate spent 600 HOURS STUDYING FOR FAR!!! It was like over 3 months so if you do the math its like 50 hours a week this person treated studying like a FT job. Granted they passed the 1st time with a low 80s score but wow how do you find that kinda time??? That is 1 part. According to Roger CPA your suppose to spend 400-500 hours for all 4 parts .

Don't slow your pace, that would just be silly. More time for review, you can never have too much time to review.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

I don't see the point in waiting until the last 3 weeks to hit MCQ. The exam requires muscle memory, which is best built doing what the examiners will have you doing in the exam – MCQ and TBS.

The business law content is important but that's maybe a 2-3 days of reading if being very methodical and taking good notes. Then MCQ.
