Estate Tax in 2011 Exam

Anyone know if we’ll be tested on it? I know the CSO says it’s fair game, but I thought we were generally tested one year behind (2010 Tax in 2011 exam), and there was no 2010 Estate Tax. Of course, they could ask 2009 questions.

Anyone have any idea about this? I don’t want to kill myself to learn it if it’s not really being tested.

    Thanks

    BEC - Pass 10/2010
    FAR - Pass 10/2010
    AUD - Pass 11/2010
    REG - Pass 05/2011

No one can tell you that they did or did not see it on the exam as that would break the disclosure rules. All indications I got from it was that it is fair game to test on even though 2010 didnt' have an estate tax. My Becker in class teacher who is one of the people who researches and helps Becker write their test books told us that it is fair game and the examiners haven't said whether it will or will not be tested so that tells me to at least know it.

I havent given REG anytime yet. My personal counselor has advised me not to bother with it. 2010 did not have these taxes and moreover the new law signed in December is not effective for exam takers until July. So I am going to skip the whole part and focus on other important ones.
