It seems like it would be more efficient for me to refer to the 1040 during the sims if I need to confirm something on the calculation of AGI instead of trying to memorize. Are these tax forms easy to locate in the authoritative literature?

Sorry to break it to you, but you do have to memorize what deductions lead you to AGI and which ones are deducted from AGI. You may be able to look these up for one of the SIMS. However, what is your plan for the other 72 questions.

Don't sweat the phase-outs. Just know the difference between Adjustments and Deductions.
