Do you develop and visualize a web in your mind that helps you learn the material easier? Or for example a forest perhaps, with each tree being either a 1040, 1120, or 990 and the branches are the different schedules each with their own items and rules, etc? Or how about a solar system with planets and moons that resemble the different forms and tax laws, etc?

Or do you not have any visualizing technique and only memorize it for what you see in the study material?

I think you have to be honest about what you struggle with understanding. Pick about 5 topics. Then resolve yourself to become an expert in those areas.

Don't even look at MCQ yet. This can last a few days or a few weeks but don't try to take a short cut. I realize this isn't necessarily what you're asking. BUT, I would just learn the topics you're struggling with the right way.
