Difficulty of testlets

I just took the REG exam a couple of days ago, and I felt like I did pretty good for the most part, especially on the MCQ’s. My biggest concern is, I didn’t really feel like the second and third testlets were that much more difficult than the first, if any. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and ended up passing.

For AUD and REG I could tell a noticeable difference in my 2nd and 3rd testlets compared to my 1st.

    Dmaae,

I purchased Jeff's book because there is a section that explains how you know if you got the hard testlets. The conclusion I came to was that they aren't necessarily “harder” just wordier. I didn't notice it much in FAR, but I did in AUD and REG. For example, my second and third REG testlets weren't necessarily more difficult, they just weren't as straight forward as the first. It took a little longer for me to read through the questions, and what I noticed more than that was that the potential answers were also a lot longer. Just my two cents. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can psyche yourself out trying to analyze if they were more/less difficult.

    Dmaae,

I took REG last week and felt the same way – not sure if second testlet was much harder. I was pretty worried too, but now I'm not sure if it was a problem: I'm just trying to think back to whether the 2nd testelet MCQs were wordier or not!

Hopefully we will find out by the end of the month!
