Desperate for REG retake advice….

Back story: I took REG back in May for the first time, which was stupid on my part because I attempted to study during busy season. No bueno. I watched all Becker lectures, but only did about half of the homework. Needless to say, I failed with a 68, which I didn’t think was TOO bad considering I didn’t do all the homework.

So now, REG is a week from today. I decided not to rewatch the Becker lectures because I’m not sure how much I get from them anyway, and I have been supplementing with NINJA audio, NINJA notes, and WTB. I went through and did all Becker MCQs first and did horribly (pretty sure I didn’t make 75+ on a single section), which I expected. Now, I am going through and going over my notes from the lectures in the Becker book and redoing all the Becker MCQs along with the NINJA supplies and WTB. I am doing much better on the MCQs this time around (all 75+); however, I am still pretty nervous about my exam in 1 week because I do not feel like I am where I should be with my scores (80-85+). Also, I cannot postpone this section any longer without pushing it into 2014 which I do NOT want to do because of the changes. I am taking notes on the MCQs I miss and the ones I get correctly that I second guessed or wasn’t completely sure on. And yes, I know I should be studying instead of posting on here so don’t remind me. I’m taking a quick break from studying to ask for ya’lls advice :). Did I mention this will be my LAST section (if I pass)!!

How do you recommend I tackle this upcoming week before my exam? I have Tuesday-Friday off work, and my family has graciously allowed Thanksgiving dinner to be postponed until after my exam Saturday.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

    FAR: 79 (Becker basic)
AUD: 68 (Becker basic), 91 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
BEC: 64 (blind), 81 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
REG: 68 (Becker basic), 73 (Becker, WTB, NINJA), REMATCH 2/27

    So kind of your family.

I guess you're doing it right by tackling all the questions you missed, or guessed on.

Review SIMS, and the most complicated questions, esp regards to taxation.

All I can say is keep practicing. I re took reg in oct and missed it by 5 marks. I was weak on the SIm.

What I can say about this exam is study everything don't leave anything off the table as you just don't know what will come as a SIm

Lastly don't be all gang ho on the amounts and limitation. Know then but don't make it your motto to remember it. Learn your rules well esp things like federal securities and circular 230. Good luck !!

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

MCQ's = business law, fed securities, and prof responsibilities.

    Simulations – tax topics

I would spend half your time on each area and you should pass no problem

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass
