For REG, do I need to know the different MACRS property types (3-year 200% class, 5-year 200% class, etc.)? For Becker users, this is page R3-27 III A 1. Thank you!

    FAR - April 2011 - Passed
    AUD - May 2011 - Passed
    REG - July 2011 - Passed
    BEC - August 2011 - Passed

Obviously I can't say exactly what you need to study (ethics etc. not to mention who knows what's gonna be on there for sure), but I'd worry more about being able to calculate the amount of depreciation. At least in the 2010 Becker that what they said to focus on. I'd expect something closer to:

“here is an asset put into service at this time under this method, what is the depreciation?”

    than

“this is a computer, how many years do you depreciate it?”

So you should know how to do DB 200%, DB 150%, SL, etc. and not just memorize the classes. You should also know that non-res buildings are SL 39 years, that one I would know just because it's easy and an anomaly.

    Good luck!

    AUD - 80
    REG - 77
    FAR - 78
    BEC - 84

Phil Yaeger said we only need to know these 4:

    5 year, 200% class

    7 year, 200% class

    27.5 years, straight-line class

    39 years, straight-line class
