I am using Becker and am trying to review everything and it just seems like so much information. There are just so many regulations and exceptions and I am feeling overwhelmed. I really don’t know if I can retain all of this information. Did/does anyone feel the same way?

I felt like that when I first started studying. Just keep working the MCQ's and sims without using the book. I found that Becker did a great job of preparing me for REG. There were no surprises on my MCQ…every question that I had was covered in Becker. Just pay attention to the little tidbits they tell you to write down about why something is what it is and why something is NOT what it is. I will never forget this one specific question that I had, and I remembered them talking about the specific item in the lecture. If you are scoring at least 80% on the simulated exams then you are golden. If you are scoring between 70-80% you s/b okay, but keep working the MCQ's in the PassMaster so that you keep the info fresh. I like to do 25 Q quizzes over each chapter and then review the solutions. You can do a practice test of all the MCQ's after that so it mixes the Q's up. Good luck 🙂

My BEC exam was a nightmare at best…hence my score. I am feeling a little better about it this go around, but now I am using Yaeger instead of Becker. I felt pretty good about audit after coming out of it, but I guess I was wrong. My advice for BEC is to use Yaeger…Cindy Simpson is the main instructor and she is awesome! And she's also a CMA, so she is really able to talk you through the difficult problems that come from the CMA exam. My advice for audit is to just keep redoing the MCQ's and sims in Becker. And I would memorize the audit reports verbatim…it will help you with the MCQ and the sims. Just make sure to put in the time necessary to memorize all the information and to do all the questions.
