I know both are important and i’ve certainly spent a lot of time on each topic but which one is more heavily weighted in the Exam?

    FAR 80
    REG 76
    AUD 85
    BEC 85
    Ethics 98

You really need to know both well. You may get an exam with a lot of Individual Tax questions, but very little Corporate. Or you may get a test with very little Individuals and a lot of Corporate. These tests are sooo random. Know both well. That's the best advice we can give you.

Those seem to be the 2 biggest sections which is why I'm spending a lot of time on both of them.

It's so important because the exam will try to include questions of income inclusion or deductions that could be business related but not individual 1040 related. Very critical to understand the differences – especially for self-employed 1040 vs schedule C items.

    AUD - Passed:)
    FAR - Passed:)
    REG - Retake TBD
BEC - Missed by 3 points Retake TBD

    According to the exam guidelines:

    Taxation on Individuals (13-19%)

    Taxation on Entities (18-24%)

Ignore those percentages!! These exams are so random that I end up getting heavily tested on topics that are supposed to be only a small percentage of the exam. You just have to study both. They're both equally important.

Took REG today, and most questions were much simpler than what is shown in my prep (Becker review). Review, do your problems, and read over notes several times and you should be good to go. Don't sweat the miniscule details. REG has the fewest calculations. When I took FAR and even BEC I used at least 3-4 pages in the scratch pamphlet they give you. Today I didn't even fill 2 pages. Good luck!

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)
