REG scores are supposed to come sometime next week and I am definitely not waiting for good news:( I thought I did decently on the MC, but when I got to the simulations I knew how to do only 2 of them. The other problems were on obscure topics that I don’t even remeber seeing anywhere in the book…I’ve been studying so much that I don’t even know what/how to study anymore!!!

I missed most of my REG sims, yet I passed. I couldn't even understand what some of my sims were asking for. Others were on obscure topics. I remember there being one sim that I felt good about.

Just wait and see what happens. It's really difficult to tell how you performed.

    AUD - 95, BEC - 85
    REG - 85, Rawrrrrrr FAR - 88

T-Rex, missed them as in left them blank, or missed them as in had no idea what the heck you were doing?

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I'm waiting on REG right now too. I know I did well on MCQ's but simulations were awful. I knew probably only 2 of the 6 of the tabs. I guess we'll see. Glad I wasn't the only one. 🙂

If you leave 5 sims completely blank, you have zero chance of passing.

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

I feel the exact same way. Was really prepared for MCQ but SIMs were hard and missed my research question 🙁 I wonder if anyone has passed missing the research…

For all you REG guys, i look for so much encouragement in these Forums, I figure its time I provide some too. Look, first off I wanna say good luck to all of you, but you know what? Its ok if you didnt pass. It's really hit or miss on REG, obviously. As some people met simulations that were on normal material, a lot of us got simulations on odd material that we only studied on a surface level thanks to our study materials recommendations. So you know what? Keep working your MCQ's, rewrite your notes, stuff your face with food as you study (hopefully I'm not the only one), and take it again. Make sure you know the material from the simulations that stumped you, and hopefully you'll get a better exam.

I've let myself get so stressed over Failing, but its ok! Take it again! Chin up.

@Peanut oh man three times? Yea my encouragement is for those first time failers, you 2nd and 3rd timers….we'll need to start a separate thread. I tend to just post news articles of sad things going on around the world to provide temporary perspective. Here, i just saw a few links that should provide perspective and encouragement:

“Firefighter’s Attempt to Put Out Fire Fails for a Third Time”

“Three Ships Sink Offshore in Gulf”

“After Weeks of Training, Usain Bolt Disqualified for the 3rd Time”

“74 Passengers Injured in Reno Plane Crash, almost 75”

@mvonstei- I've taken FAR 5 times. I have yet to pass a part on the first attempt. If I pass REG, that will be the first time I've passed with first attempt. But my experience when taking REG was all over the place, so I don't know if I'll be getting a passing score. I can only pray.

If you boned up 5 of the 7 sims, then you would have pretty much needed to ace the mc to pass. I have been there before. I got a 74 in May with scoring higher in all mc sections and weaker on sims and I knew 3 of the 7 pretty well. Just passed with an 86, gave myself 2 hours for the Sims and used the research alot. Know the tax topics inside and out. If there are obscure topics on the test, use the research tab. You have to figure the examiners know that you aren't going to have mastered obscure topics; they want you to use the research. Any obscure topics you see should be researched. Good luck to all!

how can you possible give your self two hours for the sims?? Were you really doing 20min per testlet!

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

You guys that passed but failed once did it feel that the exam focused on the same topics my first test focused on Corp tax and I was weaker in that area but the 2nd time I took it I got questions from everything.
