I was wondering if I would be okay to use the Becker REG 2010 to study for my exam scheduled for 01/08/2011. I bought it in early december last year and dont want to have to buy the new 2011 if I dont have to. I am not able to get the update for 2011 through Becker as I have had it for close to a year now.

I think reg is changing the least so you should be alright. Just make sure to download the 2010 updates from becker's website (becker 2010 book has 2009 exemption amounts so 2011 will have 2010) so you have the most up to date exemption amounts. Plus the best part is reg has no essays in 2011 and there's only 1 simulation so you have time to look at all tabs and work on the ones you are comfortable with first. Good luck!

You might wanna check with Becker.

I bought mine in Feb 1020 and mine is for 18 months, so I've requested the updates.

If you bought around the time I bought, your software won't expire until 18 months from the date of activation.

    FAR: 73 errr, 81(11/29/2010) woo hoo~
    BEC: 75 (10/02/2010)
    REG: sometime in FEB 2011
    AUD: sometime in APR 2011

Check the date the software expires – thought tBecker was allowing 18 mos on the software. If so, you would still have 5 mos.

Another thing you could so – purchase the Wiley 2011 textbook for about- $35
