Can anyone provide me the approximate start and end dates of busy season for a Big4 auditor? Trying to plan my study schedule.

I've never worked big 4 but I would think that your busy season would depend on what audits you get scheduled for… I remember when I worked for a regional firm, some people audited mostly colleges and they were busy at different times than the people who were auditing hospitals.

Busy season is generally January to March but it really depends on the client. You could be at a big four and not experiencde the craziness of busy season.

The overall busy season for Big 4 audit (which includes the majority of clients) is 1/1-mid/late March. Tax is a bit delayed and perhaps mid/late January – 4/15.

Other busy audit times depend on clients with non calendar year ends and in September for deferred returns in tax.
