Is it normal to read business law for REG and feel it went right over your head? I have read almost all of it and watched the lectures, and yet I feel like I hardly know any of it. If some of you felt the same way, please tell me what you did to overcome it?

I never read the portion. Its boring, its dry and certainly doesnt help remember the content. I would say go over it quickly and learn from doing MCQs, a ton of them.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I think it was boring and dry for both of the review packages I have because neither of them seem to have much substance in their texts for it to stick. It's like they're summarizing how to build an airplane. I need more substance! 🙂

Yea, I didn't read any of REG. For law I just watched the videos and did the MCQs, but focused most of my attention on tax.
You can pass REG without knowing Law, but you'll never pass without knowing tax.
Watch the video, do the MCQs until you get sufficient scores, and then get back to tax.

Don't read. You are not a lawyer and the content would be foreign to you if you merely read them.

Get videos. Highly recommend becker videos and you WILL love Peter Olinto.

I'm not a lawyer but the AICPA is testing me on it so… I really wish the AICPA wouldn't sprinkle in this BS. Whatever they can to throw us off I guess…

Couldn't stand the law portion. Not intuitive for me. As folks have already said – lectures and MCQs. I posted quite a lot of clarifying questions on the Wiley forums as well and it took extra time for the concepts to gel in my head. Good riddance to security interests and transfers of title!

Absorb what you can and take notes – and when you miss MCQ questions over it – definitely take notes. The application is more important than understanding the theory when studying Business Law.
