I’m sure this has been up here before, but I’m too tired to search after 11 hours of REG studies.

I was doing 100 NINJA MCQs on the topic of Ethics / professional / legal responsibilities this evening, and found that quite a few of the questions were pure audit questions that would have fit a lot better on AUD. I also found a few audit questions in other sessions of REG too. Is this really reflective of the actual exam (i.e. there are audit related questions on the REG exam), or is something messed up with my NINJA database?

(would be just awesome if 10% or so of the “real thing” REG was AUD questions)

If it's law related, there are some “law” questions that were covered in AUD, as well.

There's a little overlap I noticed as well. Not a mistake… If you look at the REG business law chapters they touch on some things that were covered in audit. But with your audit score I wouldn't worry about that to much since you already know it 🙂 move on to TAX!!

You're going to find some overlap with AUD and BEC as well – especially as it relates to internal control. I think each of the exams overlaps to an extent, but some definitely more than others.

I'm using Wiley right now for REG (still thinking about getting the Ninja test bank), and am finding overlap between AUD and REG (used strictly Wiley for my audit exam). So I think the Ninja materials are fine – it's probably the exam itself.
