I’m taking AUD tomorrow after. it’s my 3rd time around. I definitely did a fair amount of SIMs when i studied the 1st time around, and i’m sure i did a few the 2nd time around. But this time i’ve pretty much just read (& re-written) my NINJA notes and done as many MCQs as possible on WileyTestBank.

My score report from last time said my SIMS were comparable those that scored between 75 & 80. i should be okay, right? I’ve taken this twice already so i know what the SIMS looks like. Or should i try a few in the morning before my test?

As long as you understand concepts you should be fine. I never do SIMS as there is no true way to prep for them but to know material in and out.

    Best of luck!

Ya, you're good. Understanding the material is the absolute best way to prepare for them

Best way to prep for sims is to become very familiar with the auditing standards and research tab. Knowing where to go look in the literature about specific topics like internal control, or engagement letters, or risk then you can more easily research the topic and develop an answer. But specific practice with sims isn't necessarily helpful.

I agree with other posters – I think the key to SIMS is understanding the material. I feel like if you truly understand the material, you can apply this knowledge to the SIMS and tackle them fairly easily. You can not be ready for the SIMS without an understanding of material, IMO.

i think i did alright on the sims. there was 1 that i wasnt really sure about, and will prob get partial credit on another or 2. but overall i felt alright about AUD this time around. Which either means that I've finally passed or i'm dead inside as a result of the cpa exam and thus completely indifferent to the whole thing
