Anyone think it is possible to pass REG in 10 days while working full time? - Page 2

My NTS expires January 2nd so I might as well sit for the exam and see what its going to be like even if I bomb it. But, does anyone think there is a possibility I can pass REG with only about 10 days to study?

If so, what would you focus these days on? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    FAR - 07/29/2013 76
    BEC - 08/30/2013 83
    AUD - 11/11/2013 71 Retake - 05/10/2014 91
    REG - 04/30/2014 37 Retake - 08/25/2014 87

I think it's possible. Actually I was in the same boat in december and got sick before the exam after taking far. So I have only 5 days to start from scratch and using Becker. I did the same things as MarathonRunner1 and only focus on the first 4 tax chapter and drop Business Law. I try to do all the question for first 4 chapter and focus only on corporate tax reconciliation for simulation.

I only have the last night before the exam to go through B-law and I used final review for this part. Peter Olinto did a great job in this part of the final review and made it possible to go over within one night. I post a 76. It's possible! Go for it.

    AUD 82(08/12/2013)
    BEC 82(08/28/2013)
    FAR 76(11/27/2013)
    REG 76(12/06/2013)
    Becker Review and Final review.
You are only as strong as your weakest link.

Anything is possible. As many have mentioned focus on the tax content, but do not fully ignore blaw. Read blaw through once and pay attention to subjects that seem worthwhile. However, with tax definitely do not just read it through but understand it.

    FAR: 77 (08/07/13)
    AUD: 78 (08/29/13)
    REG: 76 (11/07/13)
    BEC: 79 (12/06/13)
    Ethics: 98%

    Application sent 12/31/13

    Used Becker Self-Study

I was in the same boat last month. I studied for BEC for 11 days, while working 10 hours a day for 7 of those days. I passed. I think BEC might be a little easier than REG but there is definitely a chance. Just pound out MCs. Don't waste your time with anything else besides that. Take the time to read why each answer is right and why the rest are wrong. That was my plan of attack. I completely agree you should try because you have nothing to lose. Good luck!

I studied for FAR in 7 days while working full time… I got through 4 Becker sections in one weekend and then one section a day after work… I had literally no life and slept about 25 hours the entire week, but I passed it with an 82 and felt like I remembered a lot of the material really well because it was all really fresh! Just prepare to have no life.

    REG - 71 - 1/9/14
    BEC - 90
    FAR - 82
    AUD - 88

Also I was reviewing my multiple choice breakdown from when I failed REG and Business Law actually had the second highest % of questions only to Taxes on Entities. Just food for thought since everyone seemed to be saying that it was a lesser portion.

    REG - 71 - 1/9/14
    BEC - 90
    FAR - 82

REG was my hardest test (and highest score oddly enough).

I guess it depends on what area you work in. I have a co-worker on the tax side who studied roughly that long and passed (but he mainly focused on the Bus-Law portion since he knew most of the tax issues).

Might as well give it a shot if your NTS is about to expire. Having testing exposure is always beneficial.

    FAR - 74 (1/5/2013); 80 (5/30/2013)
    BEC - 81 (7/21/2013)
    AUD - 72 (8/30/2013); 71 (10/14/2013); 79(1/10/2014)
    REG - 85 (12/5/2013)
