Anyone think it is possible to pass REG in 10 days while working full time?

My NTS expires January 2nd so I might as well sit for the exam and see what its going to be like even if I bomb it. But, does anyone think there is a possibility I can pass REG with only about 10 days to study?

If so, what would you focus these days on? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Although the chances are slim, anything can happen. Put your mind to it and do the best you can; that's all you can really do at this point. It may be a rough 10 days cramming everything in, but you won't know until you do it. I wish you the best of luck!

    No

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

    SnoBoarder,

Which review material are you using?

    AUD: 94 (Nov. 2013)
    FAR: 76 (Oct. 2013)
    BEC: 79 (Nov. 2012)
REG: 84 (Dec. 2013) It's Mile 26.2, and we finished. Blood, sweat and tears, passion, perseverance, and never giving up, we did it!

I sat for FAR having only skimmed 3 chapters and selecting “anything” for SIMS. I posted a 45. Interestingly enough, honestly studying for two months yielded only a 24 point improvement. Go figure that!

I would certainly go sit – read the questions, absorb the format take it all in – it may help to alleviate some stress going in next time. You can certainly get a feel for the SIMS.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

    I think it's possible.

I studied with Becker. I spent 90% of my time on the 4 tax chapters, because they are 80% of the exam content. The other 4 chapters are Business Law, which make up only 20% of the exam.

I would focus on the Tax topics. If you have time, maybe go over all of Business Law reading the chapter summaries for only 1 day.

As far as the Sims, due to your limited time, I would only focus on the Sims that are directly related to the Federal Tax returns to get the hang of doing taxes on the forms.

This is the bare-knuckles boxing approach to Regulation. Let me know if you have any additional questions. I want you to pass!

I think it's possible. Actually I was in the same boat in december and got sick before the exam after taking far. So I have only 5 days to start from scratch and using Becker. I did the same things as MarathonRunner1 and only focus on the first 4 tax chapter and drop Business Law. I try to do all the question for first 4 chapter and focus only on corporate tax reconciliation for simulation.

I only have the last night before the exam to go through B-law and I used final review for this part. Peter Olinto did a great job in this part of the final review and made it possible to go over within one night. I post a 76. It's possible! Go for it.

    AUD 82(08/12/2013)
    BEC 82(08/28/2013)
    FAR 76(11/27/2013)
    REG 76(12/06/2013)
    Becker Review and Final review.
You are only as strong as your weakest link.
