    Happy Halloween !

I’m scheduled to take Reg on Dec 9th and my Becker runs out at the end of January. I was wondering what is the most efficient way of tackling REG ? I just got done with the first module and it seems overwhelming memorizing all these exceptions and thresholds. I only have 5 weeks to prepare for this and I work 40-50 hours a week. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do all the MCQ and TBS. if you have time I highly suggest Ninja.. Do all 74 SIMS. I found them super helpful on my retake. Now I just gotta wait for nov 22 to see whether I hit the 75.

normally, phaseout will not be on the exam. pay attention to AMT, Agency Law, Individual/Corporation tax, partnership, gift/estate tax…. etc

I'll throw out another opinion…forget the sims and focus on the material. You have no clue what your sims will be, there's no way you can be prepared for the ones you will get. The very best thing you can do is nail down the concepts. The only time I would allocate to sims would be familiarizing yourself with the software and code/literature navigation, etc. You could save hours every week by ignoring the sims and learning the material.

    FAR: 89, 2/29/16
    AUD: 97, 5/9/16
    BEC: 92, 6/10/16
    REG: October 2016

^ It makes no sense to say “forget the sims” but also “nail down the concepts.” The purpose of the sims is not to practice actual sims you'll get on test day, it's to drive home the concepts. For REG especially, I though the sims were really good practice for making sure you're understanding the material, not just regurgitating answers to MCQs. I would do all of them if I were you.

Since you have limited time I would say don't spend a whole lot of time memorizing threshholds, and don't spend too much time on R6-R8. Focus on tax and ethics.
