I’ve practiced with Becker but maybe due to my laptop or Becker’s software the search within and advance search didn’t work. While the AICPA sample test allowed these to work just fine.

I was wondering if anyone could share their approach to these research questions. Thank you in advance!

It doesn't work on Wiley either. Ninja's is limited. The best one is on the online AICPA practice exam. That's exactly how it is on the actual exam.

I use Becker and my “search within” works. I would go to the list left-hand side, click the topic from the list, and search.

I used Becker too and the Search Within tool works fine for me…this is the only thing I used when searching for my answers on the exam so I hope you get it to work and get some practice with it.

I will say (only because I know from experience) that when you first click on the Authoritative Literature button in the SIMS, it automatically starts you on the research tool for one of the tests that is NOT REG. In the top left, make sure you click the REG tab. I made that mistake a few times at first, was baffled when I didn't get any searches for something very simple within the tax code, and then realized I was searching through Auditor FAR.
