I finished all of the MC and took a break before starting the sims. Coming back and typed the launch code… guess what? Yes it won’t let me back in. Now onto rescheduling……. my head hurts =(

Damn vanadium3, now that is some serious BS. WTF happened?? Did they have any explanation at Prometric?? Man, that confirms my feeling, I will never take a break at one of these exams. My only fear had been using up too much time. Now I have to fear not being able to restart the exam too? Wow! So sorry this happened. Not that it matters much now but how do you feel you were doing on the MC to that point?

vanadium3 – Sorry to hear that happened to you! Did they mention anything about how to approach this type of incident? I have heard before that because your exam is submitted after every testlet that you may just need to do the SIMS portion. Not very sure about that though. I would definitely reach out to the AICPA or NASBA for answers on that. I think just taking the SIMS portion beats retaking the entire exam, well, unless you think you did horrible on the MCQs then taking the entire exam again would be good. Good Luck with that!!

That's terrible! I never take a break during any of my exams anyway, but that is unbelievable.

Wow – I feel so bad for you! I wish the AICPA would make special accommodations in those situations instead of chalking it up to “shit happens” How soon can you go back?

Wow. That sucks dude. I take a break after every single testlet without even thinking about my computer crashing on me! Maybe I'll think twice this time! I agree with @apbandj, the AICPA should at least allow you to re-test!

That's major BS. You'd think places like that would have reliable systems. Definitly ask for a refund or a free retest.

Man the WHOLE reason Prometric EXISTS is to administer these tests. If they fail at this, they fail at their sole purpose of existence. Any update on what AICPA protocol on this is? (This cant be the first time, sadly) Sorry to hear.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Hey all! Just cried since I finally passed REG…oh, what a nightmare. I'm so thankful! Just hanging in there! You can do it, keep trying and follow your routine. Take breaks, but I don't recommend it during the test. It might crash on you 😉
