Hi,
Could anyone give me some advice on my REG study? I use Becker and Wiley to study for REG, and I did pretty good on the MC and SIM (80s). But as I walked into the test center, I go blank and kinda screw it up.. (and feel like I know nothing). I feel like what I studied didn’t really match what is on the test..
I am pretty sure I fail my test (although I am still waiting for the test score… there is simply no hope.)
People say I should focus heavily on tax, especially individual tax and corporate tax. Usually the test paper will test one or the other.. What topics in both do I have to focus on? Like AMT, 1231/1245/1250?
I think I should focus on studying specific topics so I don’t wonder myself all over the book? Is that a good idea? (Of cause, the plan is to do the whole test bank 2 times right before I actually take the test) Would anyone recommend reading the book again and write up some notes? I did take notes on my first reading but it was not a good notes.
Another time is, should I focus on another section of the test while I restudy on REG? I am kinda short on time. My FAR credit expire 2015 Q2, if I plan to retake REG in Q3 (and hopefully I pass), I got 3 test period to study AUD and BEC? I am not sure if that will be enough, I discovered I am not good at any part of this CPA exam!
I spend too much time studying for REG, used 2 test period and still fail it. I spend about the same amount of time on FAR and I did fine. Apparently, the hard work didn’t pay off.
If anyone could give me any advice, I will be greatly appreciated!
