@mpr – The question is asking for Roth IRA contributions, and I think you are confusing the rules for Traditional IRA contributions.

Roth IRA contributions phase out is higher than traditional and it doesnt matter if they participate in a work plan.

Roth IRA phaseout starts at $186K for MFJ.

Traditional IRA deductible phaseout starts at $99K for MFJ if the taxpayer has employer-sponsored plan.

    Hi All,

I have a stupid question on itemized deduction for medical expense. If over-the-counter medicine/supplement is recommended by doctors, is it deductible?

    Thanks!

    NO
    Not deductible at all.

Thank you girls. Just got out of the exam😨 Feeling tired and unsure. 1st testlet was ok, 2nd got harder- I could see it after few calculation questions… Blaw – i could skip it that time… Maybe 7 straight forward questions in total 2 testlets. Lots of entity, ethics, property transactions- individual tax question were easy… Then TBS… Research question -I hope i’ve got it right. 4 others I think like 70% i was doing a right thing… But rest 3 of the 8- hope to get 50% from those 3. Of course I wish that 1 that I failed the most could be pretested. But I could not recognize which one of them was pretested- all material was in Becker, nothing strange… Last time when I ve got 73, I felt myself more confident- so lets pray this is a good sign as I feel myself as a big “sim” looser. 🙁 My advise – do all sims on TAX, like 3 times each at least. Do not skip! Especially entity! You can pass without blaw, but you should know TAX! So #1- entity taxation, #2-indiv.tax, #3 -ethics, and only after blaw. Good luck guys! If I didn’t pass my BEC is expiring on June 30. So I will update you on June 27 🙂 🦋 Off to Audit group! 🌸

Is it worth trying to remember all the phase out stuff?

Okay so I'm not super solid with employee stock options. Seems like a bunch of little details and rules to have to learn.

So my question is this; does the CPA test on these in detail? Like I understand the general concept of them and when to count as income, just confused with the FMV aspects and the types. Is it worth spending extra time on if they only end up asking 1 or 2 questions?

The exam score release page that is linked in the first post of this thread has that WV is not a NASBA score release state but I have always received my scores from NASBA, not the WV Board of Accountancy. I a thinking that is a mistake. Just wanted to mention it so it doesn't confuse any newer WV exam takers. Now I get my scores on NASBA's Gateway.

Exam is Friday and I am at a stand still in my studies. I am trending 89% on Ninja after doing 2500 questions. What do you guys normally do 1 week out?
