    Is Regulation D Rule 505 testable now? I thought it wasn't based on other A71 posts but I'm getting questions about in my review with Wiley.

    @jsdailey

    According to the Becker text, “The SEC has two private letter offerings under Regulation D: Rules 504 and 506 (there was a 505 exemption as well, but that rule has been repealed).”

    I noticed they still have MCQ's within their software referencing 505, but it does not seem relevant anymore.

    Ok well that's one less thing for me to remember. Frustrating Wiley didn't update their test bank

    I raised the same question to Becker. Even Becker’s SIM has not been updated either.
    Here’s the response of one of the TAs of Becker:

    REPEALED Rule 505 – Regulation D

    Xxxxx,
    The text is correct and we are updating the HW database. Sorry for the inconvenience. Be aware however that the old rule was 505 covered 5 million and 504 covered 1 million and now 505 is eliminated and 504 covers 5 million. They have been known to include recently changed items in a question to try to confuse a candidate

    I feel like property transactions is more heavily testable than the Wiley testbank has it. 20 MCQs out of 886 and 4 of 45 Sims. Unless they have property transactions hidden in corporate and individual taxation?

    nope, no Blaw sims. Sims were very on par to the blueprint

    Good luck @Lexi & @Amor! I am sure you both did well!

    I'm sitting for REG on Friday and told my wife after the first 3 I'm finally comfortable with knowing I will leave thinking that passing/failing is 50/50 (and I'm not one of those students who always did well and needlessly fretted – I was in the bottom quarter percentile of my graduating class as I barely went to class).

    Been hearing a lot of blaw coming up, and it makes sense, as if there's no blaw for SIMs, then almost half of the MCQs can easily be Blaw according to their Blueprints. I am doing my best to cover all of blaw, but am assuming the meat is UCC, contract law, agency, suretyship, with Fed Securities and bankruptcy spirnkled in. Good look everyone

    Oh yeah, also Gleim has MCQs relating to elected “large” partnerships which have different rules than regular partnerships i.e. less restrictions on what items must be separately stated. I have not seen this anywhere else, has anyone really ran into this?

    @Dev12
    I walked out the exam feeling terrible..
    MCQs were okay although there were 5-7 questions I had completely no clue on. I assumed they were just pretest questions, so I proceeded to SIMs happily thats when the nightmare began.
    SIM Questions were very ambiguous and had lots of references to answer questions, so it took so much longer time to figure out than I did on the mock exams… I somehow managed to complete all questions in time, but I must have made many mistakes on the SIMs.
    I did all of becker SIM questions, but it was not enough for me to knock them down perfectly..(My win odds is 50:50)
    I hope I get just a 75, I dont long for more than that!

    Just need to vent my stress for a minute: I am testing on Friday and feeling absolutely hopeless… and it's all just because I have not been disciplined with sticking to my schedule. My focus and motivation have sucked since tax season ended and I'm really kicking myself for it this week. My overall MCQ score is about 74%, with some topics in the 50s, I've done about 600 questions total and only a handful of Sims. I hope I can squeeze by but I don't think I'll make it. I guess it won't kill me to retake as I can turn around immediately to the next window. I'm just gonna go for it this window and see what happens. Ugh.

    Hi @itooshallpass, I completely understand what you are going through. I am in the same boat, I am finishing up my Masters program and it is so hard to do both. I am testing tomorrow and feel like it is just hopeless. Some positive notes – you have done tax season which gives you an advantage over others (aka me), your MCQ score is pretty good, and as you said you can always take it the next window. Goodluck!!

    Side note: I am taking REG tomorrow and feel completely unready even though I have studied way more than 200 hours. How should I spend my last day studying? – any advice would be much appreciated.
