Hey guys, my REG exam on on Wednesday. I worked on the 2012 AICPA released questions and almost shat myself!!

In the MC, I got only 23 out of 40. Has anyone done these? I can’t believe it! I worked so damn hard and ended up with only 58%. My confidence has gone down now..

What has been your experience working on these? I’m really worried now. Damnit!!!

I think I did just as bad when I did them, but I haven't gotten my REG score back so no idea how I did on the real thing. I would try to not let it worry you.

I just got 19/40 on these things. They are tough. They test on minutia that we are drilled not to memorize. I think this test is more about knowing the overarching concepts really well and packing the rest of your mind with minutia. This is also the first exam I do these for so I have no precedent to base my assumptions off of. Right now i am in full PANIC TIMME (see what I did there). My exam is also on Sunday. So yeah im scared.

I only got 67% on the 2012 released questions for REG. They were tough. My exam is next Friday. Hopefully I can do better on it!

I don't know if this is going to make anyone feel better or worse, but I did those AICPA problems the day before REG this time and I got 95% correct.

However.

The problems I had on the exam itself were basically nothing like the ones on the AICPA thing, and I felt like I did horribly on the MCQ portion of the test. Maybe a few of them were similar, but I honestly think that the AICPA has so many questions in their test bank that we shouldn't base how we think we are going to do on a fraction of the questions that were on last year's test…

Even though I did a great job on those specific questions, I may have failed (again!), and just because you don't do an amazing job on those questions doesn't mean you are going to fail the real thing. Just my 2 cents.

yea i left the best for last for sure. im redoing all practice exams and MCs iv gotten wrong and any TBSs I can fit in. It worked on the last 3 lets see how this goes.

Try doing the 2011 AICPA test. It's easy.

Hopefully the reason the questions were released (and hence retired) was that they were not testing the topics in an effective or meaningful way.
