    Hey all,

    This may be a stupid question, but if I am taking REG this month, will the exam follow the 2012 or 2011 becker materials??? I am currently studying off of the 2011 materials, but I’m worried certain deductions (like the section 179 expense deduction) have changed from 2011 to 2012. Any advice is appreciated!!!

    That's what i've been wondering too. I used Wiley 2012 as supplement but not too sure 🙁

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

    I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

    Ahh yea I really want to find out just for my sanity. I've only noticed some very slight changes between the two versions. For example, the Section 179 deduction in 2010/2011 was $500,000 with a threshold of $2million, but 2012 is now showing a deduction of $125,000 and a threshold of $500,000. Which one are we supposed to use? If anyone knows, you would be a huge help!!!

    The 2012 exam tests the 2011 tax laws … hope that helps Chris

    Thanks for looking out Jeff! It's greatly appreciated. So all the updates on the becker site that show deductions and phase-outs changing in 2012 won't matter for this year's exams as they still follow 2011 numbers??? Thanks again!
