I have a question about study hours for CPA exam. I’m studying for 15h/w for last two weeks for regulation which I scheduled on the 11/23/10. Is it fine with this pace or should I try to put more hours? The problem is I’m working full time and have two kids 2 1/2 and 3 months old, its just really hard to put more time. I read Jeff’s book, which state’s that if you are not studying 20h/w, then you are not studying. I just get this guilt all the time that I’m not studying enough eventhough I’m trying so hard. Please advise!!!

    Thanks a lot.

Everyone is different. I'm sure it can be done at 15 hrs/week it's just gonna take longer 11/23 seems to be PLENTY of time though especially if you've already started. Jeff recommends 5-6 weeks @ 20 hours a week, so a total of 100-120 hrs, just divide that by the 15 hrs/week you're doing and you'll get an estimate of how long it “should” take you with industry standards. Keep in mind though that you may need a little more review time since it'll have been a little longer since you've seen the beginning stuff, and also keep in mind some people are faster and/or slower learners than others. Basically, there is no set time or hours per week, everyone is different. You have to make it work with your life 🙂

Good luck! I'm studying REG too!
