1 Month of Full time study – should I take 1 (REG) or 2 (AUD+BEC) exams?

I am taking 8/1 on FAR, but after that I have another month of free time (not working and without family) to study full time for the exam(s) before the end of the window. Based on the amount of material on each exam (I use Becker), should I take 1 (REG) or 2 (AUD+BEC) exams? Assuming I am studying ~10 hours per day 6-7 days a week.

    Any advice will be appreciated!

I think you should take one exam regardless of which one you decide to take. I know it would be nice to get this all over with and make it a distant memory, but I don't think it will be easy to accomplish by trying to cram two in with only a month of study time.

Some people around here have pulled it off, but the majority have not. It ultimately comes down to how quickly you learn and retain information, I guess.

    FAR 07/27/11 - 87
    AUD 10/01/11 - 85
    BEC 11/15/11 - 87
    REG 01/03/12 - 92

Or you could take two months (Aug and Sept) to study REG, take REG the first week in Oct, then study 4 weeks and take AUD the first week in nov, study another 4 weeks and take BEC the last week in Nov.

Or just take ONE either AUD or BEC the last week in AUG, and then plan to take BEC and REG next window.

If there's one thing Ive learned from this process, its that you are setting yourself up for failure if you arent realistic about how much time you really need to study for each section.

    DO REG!!!!!!

As you can see from my signature, I know exactly what it's like to take two tests so close together. I had my reasons for doing so and I did pass them, but I would not recommend it to others. The way I passed the last 3 was studying 10-14 hours per day with no days off. I was able to manage this because I'm able to focus for longer than most people can at one time, I'm a great test taker, and I could take advantage of my chronic insomnia. Even with this intensive studying, I would have felt a lot better about REG and BEC (and probably have had better scores) if I'd had a few more days. If you go ahead and take REG, you'll have the two toughest exams out of the way which is a huge motivator when studying for the other two.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

BEC and AUD in the same month is reasonable, even at a rate less than 10 hours a day.

If you are dedicated enough i say go for the 2 tests. Youd be surprised with how much time you will have considering you do not have work or other distractions. Most people reccomend 6-8 weeks @ 20 hours each, thats 120-160 hours. so if you give yourself 2.5 weeks (10hours a day) you will be right on track with everyone else. Except that it will be over a shorter period of time, thus fresher in you head. I suggest doing 2 tests

I would suggest REG. Like the other poster said, you will have the two most difficult exams out of the way. BEC & AUD don't take nearly as much time to study and you could do them in one month easily if that is what you decide to do. REG is a whole different beast. I would do it before you get burned out on studying. I wish I hadn't saved it until last because REG is a lot of memorization and for me, things don't stick as well this late in the game as they did when I first started studying.
