Only for the reseach question on my exam. I tried to on the other sims after answering the questions without trying to look things up, but ran short on time.

I wouldn't recommend going into the exam thinking that you'll be able to look up all the info on the sims in the AL.

I used it but I agree with wombat- don't go into REG thinking you can rely on the AL if you're stumped.

I know this post is kind of old but…

When I sat for Reg this past Friday, I went in intending on only using the AL for my research question, but I ended up using it for about half of my Sims! It came in particularly handy on one sim that focused on a topic that I didn't spend much time studying and involved having to know certain rules and exceptions to answer correctly.

I was flustered a little when I first saw this sim, thinking there was no way I was going to be able to answer it. So I moved on to the others and when I came back to it, I thought checking the AL wouldn't hurt. Being relatively familiar with navigating through the IRC, I found not only the section but the rules I needed to know!

Long story short, I agree with Gabe and Wombat – don't go in thinking you can depend on it, but knowing how to use the search function effectively can be a lifesaver.
