    Hi Guys,

Took REG today and felt totally disappointed. REG is my last section . Last time took in December and failed with 72. I need to pass REG before Feb 28th . My BEC credit expires on Feb 28th.

I thought I prepared well. I bought BECKER supplementary questions which covered AMT and property taxes on top of the regular Becker self study exam review and Becker Final review.Total – 1983 MCQ’s + 242 MCQ’s.Also bought Gliem and Ninja Notes. Went throught Gliem’s SIMS.Took a week time off from work and also used the 10 days holiday in December for studying.

    MCQs:

    1st teslet : super easy
2nd testlet : very very difficult – Not able to answer at all.
    3rd testlet : Easy

SIMS : Didn’t had time to complete the DRS SIM.
: Research looked easy but confusing – Doesn’t know whether it is correct or not.

In total 2 SIMS kinda of confident.

Felt like did much better than in the REG first attempt.

Totally disappointed and depressed. For me REG seems to be the toughest among all 4 sections. If I fail I am not sure if I can retake REG and BEC again. Literally exhausted and tired. Also need to focus on my career and 16 months gone with this exams preparation.

Good luck to all of you 🙂

Thanks cpaMD86! I'm nervous about this one. I seemed to do much better on MCQs than I did on the other tests, but knowing that passing this means I'm done is a lot of pressure.

I've been listening to Ninja Audio every day too haha. I didn't do very many SIMs (maybe 10 total so far). I'm hoping I don't see anything crazy on the exam!

The SIMs are what worry me too, and well really any minuscule topic that wasn't covered that can also come up in the MCQ. Wiley has some good SIMs. I did the 2 week trial to work, and at least see some of them. It's really just to work on my organization process because when I tend to overreach when I see a lot of details.

I just want to be done…well we all do! So the pressure is definitely there.

The odd topics worry me too… and there are a ton on this exam. I spent 4 minutes reading a question yesterday that was only two sentences, but the wording was so confusing haha.

My comment was more for Becker SIMS. I've seen other material SIMs and could understand why it might be useless to study. For example, Wiley's FAR SIMs are completely inadequate. I believe Becker had 5x more practice SIMS in comparison.

Remembering all the little nuances is what I'm worried about. And then just reminding myself when I test to conscously determine what entity type the question deals with. Overlooking the fact that it's an LLC instead of partnership, etc. could have detrimental effects.

Good luck to all of you . I am rooting for you guys.

From my experience time management is very critical. I was not able to do complete DRS SIM. So please make sure you have enough time for SIMS.

Again all the best and I pray for all of you 🙂

i'll say this. the test is 3 hours long, and there's so much material in REG that for it to only be a 3 hour test makes no sense to me. like people say that REG also has as much material as FAR right? so how the hell can they jam pack less than an hour worth of material into one test? the answer is they cant. so it sorta seems like some major topics were barely touched or not touched at all with REG.

i really still have no idea how i did after taking it yesterday. i'm also just like stuck in a two week period here where i have no idea what to do with my time after i get out of work since this is my last test i have to take. i am in the middle of busy season at a big 4 but my schedule is calming down a little now.

I hate the two week wait! I sit in the AM and I'm doing some last minute MCQs. Everyone keeps telling me it's hard to prepare for the SIMs because they're all so different – so I guess I'll just wing that part.

I think I'll be so glad to be DONE (temporarily at least) that I'll feel a sense of relief. That's what happened after BEC anyway and I passed that one.

Good luck everyone. And let's be thankful we're not waiting 10 weeks for test results like those taking tests on/after 4/01. AKA ME! I'm assuming I'll have to petition to have an extension on my BEC pass. Grrrrr. (As if the test wasn't hard enough – amirite?)

Took REG today. For me it was med/hard/med. Research was ok (I guess I did it correct), DRS was also good (super easy for me). The rest was 50/50. I did expect more tax calculation MCQ, but MCQ was more on theory side. My feelings after the exam is not passed=( Hate to retake REG in the next quarter and wait for the results until august. Good luck everyone!

@Goingallin- I didn't get one lol. I've actually never got one on an exam since they came out. I kind of wish I did get one for REG because I can at least guess if I didn't know the answer.

ugh. I left the testing center yesterday wishing I could cry…

First testlet was a breeze, whizzed through it in 20 minutes, flagged 3 questions
Second testlet was killer, ended up flagging 12 questions (a couple of which I afterward looked up and determined I answered right)
Third testlet was a mixed bag, at the beginning of it I felt like it was medium but the last half was definitely a lot harder than my first testlet.
SIMS – bomb! Two of the SIMs (including research) I felt confident on. The rest were awful. I wish I would have gotten a DRS; instead I ended up with a bunch of type in response stuff that actually weren't on difficult subjects, it's just that the way they presented the data it made me second guess myself. I spent most of my hour + 40 mins on SIMS digging through the AL trying to substantiate the ridiculousness. Anyway, the nail in the coffin for me was that right at the very end, I was entering my final response in one of the cells and the test timed out right before I got the final zero entered! UGH! All possibility of getting that one right got flushed down the drain before my eyes.

I left feeling crushed so I got in the car and turned up NINJA REG audio… all 40 minutes home.

    @smoothiezguy

I know the feels. I had three of, what seemed to be, easy testlets. Unfortunately, they were still confusing and difficult for me because of the oddities and wording. I was already feeling defeated halfway through the 2nd testlet.

The SIMS were just as confusing/vague. I've been fighting the urge to listen to Ninja Audio in hopes I actually passed haha…

Anyone else feeling completely nervous for the score release tomorrow? Having a hard time focusing today…

Took REG back on March 5th for the 3rd time. It's my last section and I really just want to be done. I don't know if I have it in me to study for this section again.

@Joseph Jones – I'm in the same boat as you bro. I'm an expert at the REG material by now (more so than the other sections that I passed). They really should just pass us.

    FAR - 75 November 2015
    REG - 69 April 2016 (WTH? Test I got isn't what I studied for)
    BEC - 81 June 2016
    AUD - TBD
