Hello future and current CPAs!
I just took REG yesterday after studying Becker for the last 6 weeks. I started the exam pretty confident powering through the 3 testlets of Multiple Choice questions. I noticed a slight difficulty increase between each testlet and overall there were only 1 or 2 questions that I completely guessed on. Everything was fine until I reached the Simulations…
Let me start off by saying that those were the most brutal simulations I have ever came across. Out of the 5 non-research simulations, I only felt comfortable answering 2 of them. The next 2 non-research simulations were on topics briefly covered by Becker, so I tried my best to use the authoritative literature, but I ended up mostly guessing. The last non-research simulation had instructions that were extremely unclear(most likely the pretest simulation), and even after re-reading the questions 5 times I just couldn’t understand what the examiners were asking, so I had to guess, yet again, on how to answer the simulation. As for the research simulation, I know for a fact that I got the right code section, but I’m not completely sure that I got the right paragraph.
I took AUD about 3 months ago and passed with a 93. Leaving the AUD exam I felt bad, but leaving the REG exam I felt like I completely bombed it 🙁 Hopefully I still have a chance to pass, what do you guys think my odds are of passing? Did you guys have similar experiences with the REG simulations?
AUD - 93
REG - 96
BEC - 92
FAR - 90Done!
