    Hey y’all,

    I just took REG.

For context, I took FAR right when the new exam came out (I took it the first or second week it came out). The SIMS in Far were nothing compared to some of the sims in REG. I don’t think I ran into one SIM that didn’t have supporting documents.

I studied basically day and night for this exam because it’s my last one to go and I dread the idea of working 60 hours a week and studying. All I can say is that I tried my best and the rest is up to God.

In terms of trying my best, I would double check all my answers to the MCQs and read each question twice. The problem with REG for me is that there’s so much minutiae and detail. I got a 75 and 80 on my Becker Mock Exams but I’d say the Becker SIMs were nothing compared to the SIMs on the actual exam.

Out of all the four sections I’ve taken, REG is the most difficult because of all the detail it has and how massive the SIMs were.

The first set of MCQs were medium and the second set of MCQs were also medium but had a few really tricky ones mixed in. There was one question that I corrected just in time and I could see a lot of people getting it wrong because it had just one detail that was off, hidden inside a big paragraph.

Even the research question took me about thirty minutes to find and I don’t know if I got the one right one haha… :(. There was another one where I had to sift through all of the AL. It seems like they want you to use the AL a lot on this exam. One expressly told me to use the AL and the AL for REG is less accessible for AUD. So another piece of advice: get comfortable with using the AL.

Like, in AUD and FAR, I found exactly what I needed for the research question in ten minutes max.

I wanted to share my experience here just in case it helps anyone :D. I hope it helps 😀 and good luck!!!

thank you for your report. I took REG May 1 and I thought it was a LOT harder than the Becker Mock Exams. I got a 73. I was trending 80+ on Becker.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

Exactly what i felt about my recent experience writing REG. MCQs were hard enough, then the SIMs were just out of control. I studied the same way as my three previous ones and passed on first try. i got four document review questions which was insane. My research question was hard too. It was one of the situation where if you ask me to answer it I can write a paper on it but it just didn't show up on my research screen.

My friend took REG today and she said she would feel good if she got a fifty.

We both studied very hard (40 hours a week), it's not like we were lazy or dumb or something.

REG just got so hard recently, I hope everyone who's taking it study hard and pay attention to details and I wish us and everyone good luck!

totally agree with all of you guys.. REG was the toughest for me too. I got 3 DRS on mine, 3 enhanced sims but research was easy. like all of you, I studied really hard for this exam but I am not very confident with my answers. i hope what we did were enough for us to pass.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US! I HOPE WE PASS! just less than 2 weeks left

    Brutal!
I just took it today. MCQs are harder than Beckers'
It took me 30 mins to do the research
I hope the score will surprise me 🙁

    FYI, I got 70, 71 on Becker.

I also took Reg yesterday and felt decent about the test in general, however, I did not notice a difference between the first and second set of MCQ. I passed the other 3 sections with the old exam format and I always could tell a difference. This is what makes me extremely nervous about my chances of passing. Did you guys feel the same? Is it because there is only 2 testlets now? Just trying to get some peace of mind. Also, two of my sims were not real life and I have just ignored they even put them on the test. Best of luck ya'll.

I just took reg today. My second testlet for mcqs didn't get any harder so I got really worried. For aud, I could tell that my second testlet got really wordy and at a different level. For sims in reg I was alright with some questions, I have five DRS and one research and two fill out in the box without drs. I feel like I bombed the exam but at the same time I want to have hope. I don't know if I should move on with bec.

I took REG 7/12 and I feel the same way as others did. Used Becker but in no way did it prepare me for those SIMs.

Out of the 8 SIMs, 6 of them had at least 5-8 documents I had to sift through. I felt close to tears at the end of it. It wasn't just that they were difficult, somewhat small yet detailed questions, but trying to go through all the documents with a limited time and one screen left me more flustered than I planned. I in no way felt prepared for that sort of presentation in the questions.

Here's hoping I somehow pulled out a pass though. But I'm, sadly, not counting on it.

    @brethom

I noticed a considerable difference in my second testlet although it's really hard to tell. For AUD, the second testlet was somewhat equal to the first one for me and I got stronger for both MCQ testlets. There wasn't a noticeable change in paragraph sizes for AUD in either MCQ testlets.
