My SIMS were ridiculous…it did not test my knowledge of tax. It tested my research skills. EVERY SIM could only be answered through researching the AI because they were so obscure and so detailed.
Anyone ever have a sim experience like this???
December 9, 2016 at 7:05 pm #1375497primetimetaraParticipantDefinitely agree with you both about the SIMS. Hopefully we all pass!
December 9, 2016 at 10:13 pm #1375638vorobjeva44ParticipantI had my exam today and I am sure I will have to retake it in January 🙁 I was getting ready only for 3 weeks and it was not enough. I saw one topic here on forum where somebody was ready to share GLEIM sims, I think i need it now 🙁
Please if you guys can redirect me to the thread where SIMS were shared. Thank you so much! PS. I was so upset during the exam that actually wanted to leave test room 🙁December 9, 2016 at 10:22 pm #1375649RyanParticipantvoro…keep your headup, you never know how the score will turn out.
I had some ridiculous sims as well. No amount of practice could have prepped me for them.

December 11, 2016 at 8:41 am #1376510marius000ParticipantTook REG on Saturday. Room full of CPA candidates…
I prepared with Becker, Becker Final Review, and Ninja MCQ. I scored in the 90s on my Becker final exam and seen all Ninja MCQs and was trending in the 90s. I did not feel I was fully prepared, but I felt better than when I sat for BEC two months ago.
1st testlet 20 minutes. Marked 3 since I never ran across such weird and detailed question that were not touched on in any MCQs I've done.
2nd testlet 25 minutes. Harder. Marked about 5. Some concepts were never touched on in any lecture or test bank MCQ.
3rd testlet 40 minutes. Harder. Again marked 4-5. Very weird questions.SIMs were even worse. One of the SIMs were never discussed in lectures or touched upon on MCQs. 2 Qs on another SIM were so twisted and included stuff I had never seen. I used every last minute of the exam and could not find the damn research answer.
Needless to say I am pissed to max. I did not write anything yesterday since only curse words came to mind. I studied all day 5 days a week (no job) and gave it all I had.
This CPA shit is the hardest thing I have ever done, not as much as the material difficulty but the commitment it takes and level of proficiency needed to pass. I'm hoping for the best but expecting a 74.
Still pissed….
December 11, 2016 at 10:58 am #1376543Starwing6ParticipantTook it yesterday (December 10):
1st testlet- Dominated, only flagged 2
2nd testlet- Harder, flagged like 8-10
3rd testlet- Felt medium like the 1st one, which concerns me, but only flagged 3-4 so probably still OK either waySims- Played right into my hands, felt really good on all of them.
Overall feeling confident, but I still didn't like how the 2nd testlet played out and how the 3rd one felt easier than the 2nd one.
BEC- 94
AUD- 8/9/16
REG- 10/15/16
FAR- 12/3/16December 11, 2016 at 12:11 pm #1376571jomarie237ParticipantTook REG yesterday for the second time. I certainly felt more prepared this time. Hard to say on the SIMS. I thought my first time taking REG the SIMS were ridiculous, but not sure if it was b/c I wasn't ready or they were just that hard. This time, I thought they were fairly representative of the material. Not easy by any means, but not impossible. I'm taking the week off from studying until we get the scores next week and loving life. Then it is either back to REG or on to my last section (BEC) for the 3rd time.
December 11, 2016 at 12:21 pm #1376576hasyParticipantI genuinely have no idea how REG passing rates are higher than FAR and AUD because let's be real. This exam is the real beast. I have never felt the way I did in the REG exam as I have in all the other exams. It was so hard…. I just hope that my NTS can come in time that I can take it next quarter. 🙁

December 11, 2016 at 8:47 pm #1376804Sticky NickyParticipant@ryan…hoping for a pass but preparing for a retake…im still lost with the passive vs at risk limitations…u probably know what I'm talking about…i thought i had it down but apparently i dont
December 12, 2016 at 11:17 am #1377099kiesterParticipantAnother Reg exam. Another not exam knowing at all how i did.
My Testlet #2 was really hard. My sims were okay, but I didn't get a break. All my sims were hard key answers, so no pop ups. Anyone else have this?
I'm being hopeful, but have no idea why. Guess I'm ready to move on either way.
