Hello guys. I am back again. I have absolutely loved coming to this forum for motivation, and advice.
I took REG yesterday, December 17 and for the first time in my CPA journey, I thought the exam was fair.
My review time was a pain, and a struggle. Taxation is my weakest area so I saved it for last thinking I would have the motivation to study and get it done. I was so wrong. Every day was a struggle. I had to reschedule the exam just to get through the material.
I used Gleim to study, and made a 64 on my mock exam. I was like, even with the 10 point jump, I will be failing this exam…..I studied all the chapters again and it was exam day.
MCQs – Testlet 1 started nicely but quickly got dicey. I knew what the questions were asking but I didn’t know how to answer them right.
Testlet 2 – In my opinion, the questions got easier. There were so many questions I was not sure of that I got tired of flagging. I did my best, rechecked my answers and moved on.
TBS – At this point, I became so chill; I was like the AICPA has been really fair to me for this exam. I just do not know this well enough. They tested familiar concepts and I did not see too many curveballs.
I finished with like 40 minutes left on my clock. I really did my best and moved on.
Normally, I would be panicked and super stressed but guys, I am so Zen and chill. We will see what score release day brings. If I have to study again, no shaking or stress, I will do it again, no fault to the AICPA guys on this one.
Advice- If you are studying for REG, and you are having a tough time. Please do not worry. Study well, practice MCQs and DO your SIMS!!You will be fine.
This will be a nice holiday for me. I have been studying for all the exams since March, and I am grateful for a break.
Thank you guys. You can do it. I believe in you!!!!
