Last Test Anxiety

Has anyone gotten mad anxiety after their last CPA test? I just took REG in hopes that it would be the last time I ever set foot in a prometric center to take the CPA and I can’t stop thinking about if I passed or not. REG was definitely my toughest test so far, and I messed up the giveaway research question and a few others. I’ve been checking all the questions I can recall that were tough to see if I had gotten them right or not and I’m starting to trip out. Has anyone felt this way after their last test?

Was there just as much anxiety beforehand, pressure wise? I'm feeling it, and can only imagine the anxious wait for the score release when I sit at the end of next month 🙁

    Best of luck!

I've been getting mad anxiety. I took REG in November and left with tons of anxiety because I screwed up the simulations. I retook the exam on Monday and feel way better this time. I had gotten serious this year and had passed the last 3 exams back to back, when I got my REG score I was so sad! I want to be done so bad!

Your past scores are great, I bet you'll pass without the research question.

@apple – Congrats on getting those 3 retakes out of your way! I hope you do well on REG.

I seem to be following in your footsteps and only hope my retake scores will come around the way yours did.

I too chose to save REG for last and it's starting to make me nervous already.

@MCLKT – Thanks! If there's anything I've learned from my experience, it's that you have to over study to pass these exams. I swear the examiners know how to specifically write these exams to test if you are committed to becoming a public accountant. They don't want someone who's simply smart. They want someone who is willing to put out the effort to learn and follow through with diligence in their career. Every one of more scores correlates to the amount of time I studied. I'm hoping the best for you!

yeah I'm with you guys. I took my last exam in november and failed. Now I took it again and the wait is complete agony!

    REG - 5/21/2012 - 85
    FAR - 7/24/2012 - 86
    BEC - 8/27/2012 - 85
    AUD - 10/5/2012 - 72....rematch 1/3/13 (waiting)

I never have much anxiety before I take an exam, it's always during the wait for score release. So I've learned to schedule my exams at the end of a scoring period (day 20, 40, or last day of a testing window). That way I minimize my torture.

    FAR - 79 - 07/2012
    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012
    REG - 78 - 01/2013
    ETH - 98 - 01/2013

I'm in the same boat and yes, the waiting for the last score is the hardest part of the entire process. At least with the other exams you had to move on to the next section and that occupied your mind for a while (not that I'm upset I don't have anything to study anymore!). The worst thing is feeling pretty good about the test, so you aren't motivated to keep studying, and having enough doubt to where you feel guilty for not continuing to study! It's a gamble either way. I think I might do a couple progress tests this weekend just in case. 🙁

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

Agree with all of the above – I'm anxiously awaiting results as well (FAR), going over everything in my head, hoping and praying I am done and don't have to look at FAR again. Definitely worrying about all the things i had questions on, not thinking about the items I know I got right. Going to be a long couple weeks. Hopefully will get good news during the height of busy season in February!

Thanks guys, I appreciate your replies. I feel the same way, IDK if I screwed up enough to where I should start restudying now or just wait it out. But it's a whole 3 weeks away until the score release (F U NASBA) so I guess I gotta just wait it out. JEESE I wanna be done with this.
