Took reg today. Holy shit. I feel like I studied for a different test. I’ve never been so certain of failure. First testlet was HARD. Second was just as hard. Third was slightly easier. Sims? A mystery….did my best, so used becker self study. Very little familiar material on exam. I maybe guessed half. Not educated guess, just a guess. I’m pretty destroyed. I guess we’ll see. Thanks another 71 for letting me vent.

Genuinely interested. What review material did you use? Did you actually study? How was there very little familiar material on the test? The material is pretty much a known quantity. No specific examples obviously, but care to elaborate?

Another section taken where one walks out feeling defeated… Been there. Done that. Sucks, man.

Just know, we've all been there, and some of us were pleasantly surprised with our results come score release day.

The only thing you can do, which is productive, is put it behind you and focus on your next part.

    Good luck.

I felt fine after I took REG the first time.

    71

I was defeated and clinically depressed after the second REG exam.

    75 [A perfect score]

The moral of this story is that you don't know your score until you know your score.

Now have a hard earned beer and sweat it out like the rest of us.

I felt that way after AUD. I didn't even feel like I was taking AUD and I studied A LOT! Miserable throughout the whole test. Cried a lot. Scored 85! Don't give up hope just yet!!!

I felt the SAME WAY about REG. I didn't even flag questions…and the SIMs. GOOD LAWD the SIMs. I already had prepped my schedule for a retake. I told NO ONE about the score release date. Hells no. I needed a few days for my first fail to sink in…and then I checked. 87! I literally thought it was a mistake and would be taken away. Still there! I literally could not walk in a pass a REG test again if my life depended on it.

It makes me nervous when I read these kind of posts. I took REG early last week, and I felt pretty good about it. Reading posts like @billbrasskey's above make me think that maybe I didn't know anything at all, and now I'm going to fail? But I freaked myself out about AUD like this, and I did just fine.

I felt unsure about FAR AUD and BEC walking out of the prometric center but was pleasantly suprised when the results came in. Just remember its 75 not 75%.

JimmyA, can you explain that 75 not 75%?

I just took the test. Like the OP, none of the material was what I studied specifically. I felt like it was obscure things, not even tax related (I am a Sr. Tax Accountant of 11 years). It was awful…

@big four expert. I prepared w becker. As always. Was scoring high 80s on cumulative progress tests that I took all day. I felt good. The exam was all material that maybe had a paragraph in becker?aybe I missed it while focusing on the big topics. I got hit hard w b law. Deep obscure b law. Very little of what I focused on. Again. Who knows.
