What a load of garbage. The questions were so specific and obscure I have no clue how anyone could pass that. I studied for six months and will be lucky to have gotten a 50. Gleim didn’t help at all the questions on the test were way more in depth then anything in the Gleim prep material. I have no clue how anyone could pass this exam I got a 93 on BEC after studying for 2 months but this I could study for a year and couldn’t pass. What the hell is up with this test?!?!?!

@yassy, I also failed REG. What materials are you using? I have Roger CPA, Ninja notes, Wiley Test Bank (I am not a fan of the new site….)

I failed the first time I took REG. The sims were out of this world. The retake had much easier sims and mc. Don't get too discouraged. Do a quick one month review of everything and retake as soon as possible

    BEC - 84 (4/13/2013)
    REG - 82 (10/17/2013)
    AUD - 85 (12/5/2013)
    FAR - 75 (10/11/2014)

Thanks @ajurew1 🙂 When you restudied, did you start all over with everything? What was your approach and what materials did you use?

@ALWhitaker10 Sorry to hear about your score too. Third time will be a charm! 🙂 I am using CPAexcel and Wiley Test Bank (which i am also not a fan of with the new site) I purchased NINJA Audio a week before my exam and I wish I had done so earlier because it was a huge help. I also just impulsively bought the NINJA review today too after seeing I failed lol, and I've only heard good things about it so I don't think I'll regret it.

@ALWhitaker10 Awesome! I have a feeling we will both pass this time! I'm trying to decide when to take it too, I want to get it done by mid July because I'm maid of honor in my friend's wedding and need time to step up my game! And also just want to get it DONE. Lol.

When were you thinking of taking it?

@yassy, we WILL pass!!! I believe I read that mamabear is good luck!! I was thinking of taking it July 3rd when we leave for vacation. The closest test center is 2.5 hours away so I was thinking of taking it as soon as we get to Cali and then having the rest of the weekend to relax. I am wondering if that is enough time tho….

Haha yes I'll take all the luck I can get! I think it's definitely possible to do July 3rd, especially since you've been through all the material already. Just keep at it every minute you get and then you can party all day on the 4th 😀 And if you don't feel ready at that time you can always reschedule if you need to.

I failed REG with a 56, how in the world do I bounce back to get at least a 76. This is the worst thing I have ever seen.

@gblogbd14 It is definitely possible. Don't give up. Why do you think you failed? Maybe you didn't give yourself enough time or would benefit from different study materials.

@sripaljain when I got a 74 in Audit I seriously considered applying for revaluation but I figured it was probably going take the same amount of energy and probably even more frustration than just studying for it again lol. I don't think the chances of a successful outcome are in your favor unfortunately.

I just failed REG with a 60. For those of you who passed, congratulations! I'm just curious about how much time people spent on the BL part for this exam. I spent about 6 weeks preparing for REG, and studied heavily on tax, like 95% of my entire preparation. However, there seemed to be a lot of BL related questions in the actual exam, slightly more than 20%… that might be the reason why I failed. Any tips?

    I AM DONE!!

    BEC - 79 (4/30/13)

@JiujitsuCPA I used CPA Excel too and spent a good amount of time on business law but since they have it at the beginning before the tax stuff I felt like I forgot everything by the time I completed the program and didn't have enough time to review.

Yes, Pyro, that's the correct link if you're in a NASBA state. I assume you're in a NASBA state if that site gave you a score!

    It's legit 🙂

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Disclaimer: My ninja avatar is not meant to imply that I have any affiliation with this site other than being a forum member. That's a pic of a T-shirt that my daughter gave me for my birthday. 🙂

@yassy, You're exactly right, it really seems difficult to retain all the info for REG. The section covers so many topics. I just got my score report, and everything was “weaker” except for “Ethics & Legal Responsibilities” which I got a “stronger.” Funny thing is, I only studied that topic for maybe like 3 hours in total. I really have to study everything all over again…

    I AM DONE!!

    BEC - 79 (4/30/13)

    @JiujitsuCPA,

I am in the same boat. REG is a completely differently animal. I hate taxation and its little rules about what is deductible and where and how and what the threshold is. Moreover I don't have any tax experience so I find it very hard to memorize everything. Somehow FAR, AUD and BEC were much easier or maybe I am burnt out??? 🙁

    FAR - 89
    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    REG - 49, 86
    ETHICS - 96........ DONE!!!
