Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as everyone was telling me it would be.

It’s still tough, but I wouldn’t say it was waaaaaay tougher than the old exam.

Pretty much. Its overwhelming as hell but its what the new CPA exam is all about. Make you think outside the box and know what you are doing.

Just took REG for the first time today. Wasn't sure what to expect with the new sims but they weren't as horrible as I thought they might be. Biggest pain was a lot DRS sims and needing to use additional documentation.

This didn't really make it more challenging but does require more time. I had 2.5 hours left when I got to the sims and used all of it.

My best advice is to leave at least 2 hours for sims but 2.5 would be best so you don't get strapped for time looking through all the documentation.

like I began…I can't really comment on the new exam…I'm taking it literally tomorrow

I just did the mini practice exam on the AICPA website…those 5 mcqs were easy and quick…though i did terribly on all but one tbs…so that's not too reassuring to me to say the least, with my exam tomorrow.

I'm taking REG on the 25th
I'm hoping the actual exam is similar to the BECKER Final for REG.

I didn't do the Becker mock exam. I would say BEC MCQs covers well for the actual exam. It's really close. I couple of times I thought I had the same questions from the Becker MCQs.
