Hey 71’s out there. I had a weird REG exam experience. MY test went HARD-EASY-MED??? For my previous tests it went MED-HARD-HARD… Any of you have similar experiences like this??? Super weird I know. I’m pretty sure I got solid partial credit for 3 SIMS, and iffy on the remaining 3, including the ridiculously hard research question. But my question is any of you have this HARD, EASY, MEDIUM testlets?? I just couldn’t believe the first testlet. Long, wordy, and hard questions…not the way I like to start out…hmmmm….Thanks in advance for any good, helpful and funny comments 🙂

I took Audit a few weeks ago. I felt my testlets got easier. I scored a 95. Don't worry about it.

reading the testing guidelines they start everyone with a med testlet and adjust it from there. that being said it also mentioned that all difficulty levels included easy, med, and hard questions. it is really impossible to guess how hard they were so its somewhat pointless. plus, the SIMS were by far the worse part on my audit exam for me

    Aud-75 3x I knew i never liked you
Bec-77 1x being in the bubble is stressful
Reg-82 4x its not me its you...and no we cant be friends
    Far-78 1x easiest section

@taxman89 I completely agree regarding the SIMs.

Thanks for the replies folks. REG was my 4th exam, and just hadn't seen testlets in that order. But I never finished 20 minutes early either (but I always finished). It was just really crappy, first 4 questions in first testlet, wordy and hard. Second testlet, most questions one sentence long. Really hoping to be able to give my buddy ALL my Gleim material come Tuesday 3/11 (california).

Difficulty is almost always in the eye of the beholder. What easy for you might be more difficult for me, and vice versa. Sometimes you can really tell. Personally, I think many of the harder questions are often more wordy.

I agree with Chappy. You could say Hard-Easy-Medium and someone else taking the exact same test with the exact same questions could judge it as Easy-Medium-Hard. It's all judged on the topics each taker knows best, if the taker is better at computation verses conceptual, etc. You're grades look pretty good to me. Don't worry. You'll know soon enough.

Really felt like my testlets went in this same order. The first one seemed hard while the next two seemed pretty manageable. Makes me a little nervous when the sections don't get harder….

Technically, the AICPA says all tests begin with a Medium testlet no matter what.

Also, I never knew this, but the AICPA says 12 out of the 72 questions for REG were pretest and 60 are counted toward your score.
