I just took REG in CA. I felt pretty confident about the MCQs and was staying pretty positive throughout those two testlets. I think I may have mixed a total of 8 questions out of 76.

Now the Simulations is where I began to lose hope. I left myself with a little over 2 hours and I felt that my time was not enough. These questions required reading sometimes twice in order to grasp the entire question being asked. After that it required detail analysis that included heavy calculations and working the problem out. I noticed that the drop down menus for the review sections had probably 3-4 more answers to choose from then I recall in previous exams (making it harder to just provided an educated guess).

I was able to answer almost all the Simulations. Did I answer them correct? I have no idea. Only time will tell. I have read that the Q2 tests will most likely be graded on a curve. Study hard. I find that those who are coming right out of college and trying to pass the CPA exam with little to no experience under their belt may have a more difficult time with these simulations as they do require mimic the real world scenarios of being a CPA.

    Good luck!

    Tom
