I just wanted to say a quick thank you so SO much to everyone for all their support! I don’t think I could’ve made it through this process without all of your kind and encouraging words. A shout out to my boy Jeff for creating Another71 and the NINJA notes/audio.

For everyone who participated in the thread yesterday, started by the amazing CPAhereIam, you are all awesome! Your prayers worked!!! I got my final score this morning. 81 on AUD! Never thought this day would come.

Never ever give up! If anyone has any questions, please let me know, I want to help!! Good luck!!!

Hmmmm, last minute advice for FAR… By now you're not really going to be able to teach yourself any new topics. I would just review what you have covered thus far and get really strong and comfortable with that info. FAR is really about how well you know what you know (quality), not how much you know. Keep going through your MCQs and be able to state why every answer given in each question is right or wrong, that will help you to better understand anything you are weak on. I hope that helps! The day before my exam, I put in a good 10 hours. The day of my exam, I only did about two hours of light review so that I went in fresh.

    @F15y,

I have seen a lot of people's signature here and there, but since you are on this thread, I am asking you this:

    Is BEC THAT difficult???

I have never taken BEC before, but by looking at my never-opened BEC textbook looks thinner than September issue of Vogue. Roger says in his lecture that BEC is the lightest, sweet and short, so save it for the last.

Now I have seen a lot of people struggle with BEC as much as FAR and I am having a anxiety attack! LOL

It's like saving this sweet strawberry on the top of the cake for the last, and you finally get to bite into it to find out that it's really a strawberry shaped jawbreaker!

Maybe I should save the surprise for later…

I will just focus on what I am facing…AUD

…baby steps, AUD! baby steps, FAR! baby steps… (as in What about Bob?)

by the way, congrats on the Moderator status. You can definitely contribute here with a rein and a crop, in case someone gets out of a line… jk 😉

    Yes, BEC is tough.

I think FAR is more difficult though

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

The thing with BEC is that it is a bag of mixed nuts, it's like trail mix with the M&M's (Or as some people say, a bag of M&M's with obstacles haha) It's made up of a lot of little topics, so there's just a lot of info. I posted something in another thread of what I did that lead to my passing of BEC. I'll have to go on a hunt to find it for you. To me, BEC was the hardest, but that's also because I had never seen over half the material, so I had to teach myself most of it. I'll edit this comment once I find what I had posted for someone else.

    BOOM, found it:

So, how I finally tackled BEC. I used three products, Becker, Becker Review and NINJA.

Step 1: I would watch the lecture for a chapter and take notes on the stuff that seemed important to me or what was difficult for me.

Step 2: I did almost all the HW problems for that chapter and would say out loud why I thought it was the answer I chose and why the other ones were wrong.

Step 3: I went through and re-did EVERY problem that I had done (I only completed about 70% of Becker's MCQs, quality not quantity)

Step 3: I moved on to the WTB and did about an extra 100-150 MCQs to make sure I actually knew the topics and that I wasn't just memorizing Becker's questions.

Step 4: I went through everything on the Becker Final Review program and wrote down what seemed to be important.

Step 5: I condensed all the formulas that I thought were necessary (only about 20 of them) and re-wrote them about ten times.

Intermittently during this whole process I read my NINJA notes twice and re-wrote them twice. I also constantly listened to the NINJA audio, Jeff's voice was music to my ears in the morning.

The morning before my exam I just re-wrote my formula sheet once, re-did about 50 MCQs and then went in feisty and came out victorious!

    Thanks F15hy.

I thought I saw someone thanking you for your BEC tip somewhere but couldn't find your original tip.

I will copy and save it on my doc. file.

It seems like I can use your tip starting now 🙂

You are very welcome. I hope it helps you 🙂 if you have any other questions or anything, let me know, I'll do my best to help you out. Good luck!

Also, as far as the writing comprehension went, I just watched the Becker lecture on it once. They do a good job showing you proper and improper formatting. I came up with an amazing intro (about three sentences, only had to change the main subject) and came up with a nice closing statement. I copied and pasted it in all of my tabs and then formatted the middle how Becker suggested.
