I recently passed all four parts of the CPA exam, do we put that at the top under certifications or do we put it under summary, and also where should I include that I have completed 150 semester units required for CPA License. Any help would be appreciated.

The 150 semester hours earned go under education.

If you're looking for a job to get the experperience required for a license, the summary is a good place to say you passed the CPA exam and are seeking a role to gain experience.

I don't put in-progress certification on my resume. I may mention them informally but I don't feel right putting them on my resume until I earn them.

@4WG2WB Thank you for your recommendations and also as far as the experience, is it okay to include 10 bullet points for one of the jobs I have done recently and for others to include maybe 3 bullet points so that all can fit in one page. Also, when I am applying for a job in a CPA firm do I send my cover letter along with my resume or wait until they ask for the cover letter?

@Mel for my most recent job hunt, before I had my official CPA licence # I listed CPA exams passed, 150 credits met, etc. in a bulleted list with ‘Skills and Knowledge'. I included a short paragraph with each job description rather than breaking down by bullet points. I also included a cover letter in each application I submitted. Landed 4 phone interviews and 2 office visits within a month. Good luck in your search!

    B - 88 (2/16)
    A - 84 (4/16)
    R - 73 (6/16), 82(7/16)

For my job search, I put under education for 150 credit (graduate degree in accounting), CPA license I put passed all four and expecting CPA license on Oct/Nov.
I didn't put much for Linkedin, but I did post that I passed all four parts and excited to have my license soon.

My state board suggested that I put “CPA candidate – awaiting certification” and then list the academic and testing credentials.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

Thnak you guys @rtalfson so is it fine if I put passed all four parts of the CPA exam under certification at the top so the format of my resume looks like — certifications — experience — education.
are those only categories fine Please let me know thank you
